Greetings to all our sponsors, and friends of Educate the Orphans!
Once again, we want to update you all about what is happening in Kenya, with our work there. As you will see and read below, once again we are sincerely requesting your prayers for a desperate situation, which we are facing. We have enclosed, unedited, a report directly from Livingstone, our ETO director in Kenya, along with a short video.

TUMAINI CHILDREN'S HOME:
SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN SAVED FROM BEING TRAFFICED
We are seeking your help and prayers as we seek the face of the Lord as to what we should do for this situation.
Let me explain a little about this children’s home:
This place was established as a rescue house for children who had been stolen abandoned or even sold by their parents, to people traffickers. It was started by Pastor Joseph Onyango and his wife, during March 2015, but unfortunately the Pastor died of liver problems, and his wife died January this year of Asthma, with the result that the twenty children in the home at present who were rescued from traffickers are abandoned yet again. It is only through the assistance of extremely poor neighbours sharing what little they have that the kids are still alive!

Earlier this month on 5th Feb one of the men from the area travelled to ETO Kaguma to see if we could help!
Livingstone visited the school and confirmed for me that this is a legitimate case, collecting proof with legal documentation for us! We have bought them some food for now, but we need to know what to do for the longer term, do we amalgamate them into our work, or do we just give them some food occasionally?
That is why we are making this unprecedented appeal for prayers and practical assistance. If anyone out there would like to assist us or get involved, please get in touch as soon as possible!
I am reminded of CHRIST’S reply to his disciples, when they ask him to send the hungry people away to buy food, “YOU FEED THEM,” he replied, Mark 6:37. Bobby!

CASH FOR THE FOOD.WE ARE GREATFULL FOR THE FOOD SUPPORT THAT YOU PROVIDED.WE RECEIVED KSH 768400 FOR THE FOOD AND BY YESTERDAY EVENING, WE HAD BOUGHT THE FOOD AND DISTRIBUTED TO OUR CHILDREN AND THEY ARE FEEDING ON WELL NOW. WE ARE SINCERELY HUMBLED BY YOUR LOVE FOR AFRICAN CHILD.GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY. 2. VISIT TO THE CHILDREN'S HOME AT CHUKA.ON MONDAY I VISITED THE CHILDREN'S HOME WITH SOME FOOD STAFF.IE GREEN GRAMS, RICE AND SOME BANANAS FROM ETO FARM AT RUUNGU. IT'S TRUE, THE HOME IS REGISTERED AS TUMAINI CHILDREN'S HOME. TUMAINI IS A KISWAHILI WORD WHICH MEANS HOPE MEANING THAT IT WAS STARTED TO GIVE HOPE TO THE HOPELESS AS IT IS SAID. THE GOOD THING I FOUND WAS IT IS EVEN GIVING HOPE TO MAMAS WHO HAVE NOWHERE TO GO. FROM THE PHOTOS, YOU WILL SEE A BIG MAMA WHO RESQEUED FROM HER HUSBAND WHO HAD LOCKED HER IN THE ROOM WANTING TO KILL TO DRUGS ABUSE.SO SHE WAS BROUGHT THERE AND THERE SHE IS HELPING IN SERVICE OF THE CHILDREN. CURRENTLY THE CHILDREN STAYS WITH A PASTOR WHO ACT AS MANAGER WHO WAS NOT PRESENT BY THEN, HOWEVER, I WAS RECEIVED SO WELL AND NICELY BY THIS MAMA WHO WAS RESQEUED. THE CHILDREN WERE VERY HAPPY AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE VIDEOS. THE FOUNDERS OF THIS CHILDREN'S HOME WAS A PASTOR AND THE CHURCH IS ALSO REGISTERED AS YOU CAN SEE. I HAVE THE DOCUMENTS THAT ARE SHOWING HOW THE SITUATION IS IN REGARDS TO THE CENTRE. ALLOW ME FORWARD TO YOU SOME DOCUMENTS AND SOME PHOTOS AND VIDEOS FROM THE CENTER. OTHER NEWS
The Kenyan government has once again changed the rules around school registrations and we found ourselves having to re-register our schools to retain legal status.
The registration fees have been paid by Livingstone. We are awaiting the recertification certificate for all schools but are please that the forms were accepted with no issues and we are still legal.

Covid Vaccine at Mungana-Anna
On 9th February ministry of health officials attend our school at Maguna-Anna. All the children and staff received their vaccine. A few of the children took an adverse reaction to the vaccine and required hospital treatment however all of them have now recovered and are back in school.

FOOD AID.
The price of food in Kenya has dropped slightly because there is some maize harvest around the slopes of Mount Kenya. We have sent £5000 (approx 768,400 KES ) so ETO can buy food directly from the farmers to replenish our food stocks
