EDUCATE THE ORPHANS

Sept Update 2023
32 SCHOOLS GATHER AT MUGANA-ANNA

32 schools from around Tharaka, Kenya came to Mugana-Anna to be taught together as part of the new competence based curriculum programme in response to the educational minsters instructions.  We also incorporate into this teaching, our ETOs christian educational ethics and morals, including hard work, respect and endeavour.
38 TRAFFICKED KIDS AT ITUGURURU (TUMAINI)
After being rescued from Al-Shabab (Islamic terrorists) the children at Tumaini childrens Home are entirely dependant on ETO for their survival.  Livingstone continues to visit them weekly to check on them and to bring them much needed food and supplies.
He recently noted that the children, and the Mama who looks after them could do with having some more clothes.  The Mama only had one top which she wore continually.  ETO has recently bought them all some new clothes and new mosquito nets as you can see from the photo and video below.

MUGUNA-ANNA SCHOOL TRIP TO NAIROBI
Our school at Muguna-Anna took our children, both primary and secondary (many on their first trip out of Kaguma) on a educational field trip to Nairobi to visit Kenyas parliament (the National Assembly Of Kenya) and the Nairobi national museum.
LIVINGSTONE SHARES FARMING GODS WAY AT THE GLOBAL FOOD SECURITY SUMMIT
In June/July the Kenyan government sent Livingstone, our ETO Kenyan Director to Israel (all travel paid for by the government) as part of the Kenyan delegation at the Global Food Security Summit.

At this summit Livingstone was able to have a discussion with the Israeli Agricultural Minister where he shared about our programmes 'Farming Gods Way' and 'Under Gods Blanket' teaching skills to help enhance food production in Israel.  He also presented a talk on the evils of drug and alcohol addiction to the members if the Israeli parliament.
ETO PLANTS CROPS AT MUGUNA-ANNA SCHOOL
ETO children have begun learning and planting food crops such as maize, onions, cabbage, irish potatoes and tomatoes on our shambas (farms/gardens).  We have created a new shamba within the school compound at Muguna-Anna, making the most of the available land, and allowing us to teach the children new skills, showing them the benefits of how to use manure to enrich the poor soils thus enabling us to become more self sustainable in the future and helping ETO to cut down on the cost of feeding over 3000 kids in our 7 schools.
LIVES CHANGED
These photos are of Joseph Mwiti Kaguaru. Joseph was an ETO sponsored child who was educated at our school at Muguna-Anna.  Joseph now works as a district officer in Rift Valley in Central Kenya. Before taking up this post he volunteered for two years at Muguna Anna school teaching the children in the place were he himself was taught.
