EDUCATE THE ORPHANS
COVID-19, DROUGHT, FAMINE, AND LOCUSTS
|

Just how much can the poor people of East Africa, withstand....!!!!
Once again, we at, Educate the Orphans have to report of the catastrophic conditions of our children and people are facing in Kenya.
As indicated in our previous update, we have now been able to purchase some food from Rift Valley - the only place food is still able to be purchased.
A massive thank you to our donors. Thanks to you we were able to purchase
- Maize 130 Bags
- Beans 65 Bags
- Peas 45 Bags
This food needed to be hauled over 250 miles to our site in Tharaka. Livingstone had to drive through massive clouds of ravenous locusts, who are devastating the "Breadbasket of Kenya" devouring every green thing in sight!

Locusts in Rift Valley, Kenya's Breadbasket

Food prices continue to soar leaving most Keynans with little or nothing to eat.
Add to this the failure of the seasonal rains since 2019, meaning that Tharaka is again experiencing widespread drought and famine, with local farmers having nothing to plant, sell or eat.
And on top of all that we have to contend with the Covid-19 pandemic and curfews where people are not permitted to travel to find any assistance or food.
The Kenya Government have insisted that all children go back to school even though they have nothing to give to the people. Many hundreds are turning up to Educate the Orphan schools begging and pleading for food!

So what can we do??? Jesus said, "You Feed them", Mark 6:37"
|
|
So, what do ETO do: We feed them....!!!!
Can you help us fulfil this command of Christ?
